Architecture and scope

IT consulting

IT consulting is the work before the invoice for a six-month build: what to build, what to buy, and what to leave alone.

What this service is

Founders and operators hire us to sit on their side of the table. We write the spec, pick a stack, and cut the feature list so the first release can actually ship.

If the honest answer is “do not build this,” we say that. IT consulting that only sells a development contract is not consulting.

What we offer

Product and stack advice

Web vs mobile, buy vs build, and which vendor APIs you will regret.

Architecture reviews

A second pair of eyes on an existing system before you add another team or another cloud.

Scope for v1

A written first release: users, screens, and what is explicitly out.

Vendor selection

Help reading proposals from other firms so you are not buying three products glued together.

  • A decision you can defend to a partner or a board
  • A v1 that fits a real calendar
  • A paper trail if you later hire us — or someone else — to build

Questions we hear

Often, if the spec is sound. It does not have to. You can take the document to another team.
